Ray Beeson is another who joined the Blue and Gray Pickers during the early years. In 1982, Ray became the band's mandolin player and added his resonous voice to their vocal talent. Although he has been faced with superior sounds from Ryan Morton's Gibson F-5G, Ray insists on playing a Flatiron Festival. But since Ray is far better on any mandolin than Morton, it really doesn't matter much :) |
